We're only 3 points off the automatic spots - if Lindsey succeeds in improving the players big game character, we're well in the mix for automatic promotion now. :)

God I hope we make top 3, and in quiet and efficient way that does not entail "must win games" along the way. Anything below 3rd and we're definitely staying in this soul-crushing league.

Well this team does need a Wilbraham type player (remember him) to annoy the opposition at every opportunuty.

I did think it was worth bringing on Harrison for the last five to ten minutes.

I thought we looked poor until the 40th minute and then very good afterwards. Not sure how much was down to Swindon being awful or not.
Loved their fans moaning about the corner that eventually lead to our 1st and a foul for our 2nd. We definitely deserved to win the game

That first goal was a sickener - and it seemed to leave us totally out of sorts for over 30 minutes. But then it started to click. Wearne, who I have my doubts about, played a wonderful ball through to Gilbey, who should have done better in front of goal. KTS did well with his goal. White was excellent and he and KTS seemed to work well together. Tomlinson looked more like his old self. Nemane was good and his cross for Gilbey's goal was superb.

I'm sure some will be doubting the wisdom of signing Hogan but he created space for others and, as we continue to improve, he'll get a lot more service and hence goals. I think he's going to play a big part in the remainder of our season.

On reflection I would agree with all of that. I just wish that we could try flipping things over and play from the start with the same energy, urgency and attack as we do when we're usually behind in the second half. Try it that way round and then perhaps tighten up defensively in the second.

Not world beating, but a really promising performance for me. Mainly because we actually created opportunities at home, which has been a rarity recently.

I was a big fan of White in midfield. Would definitely be for him playing there again. Thought he was very good on the ball and progressive.

I was also pretty impressed with Wearne too. He’s very good at getting into smart positions and turns well on the ball.

Was also impressed with KTS, Offord and Williams.

An idea. What about playing Gilbey on the right instead of the left? He seems to have a least one moment each game where he is pretty much through on goal, but due to him not really being able to shoot with his left, he takes it too far and ends up getting tackle. If we was playing on the right, he’d be able to shoot quicker.

Disagree....hope we end up with AFC at Wembley and we come back from 5-0 half time deficit to win on penalties

Hold on, you think we’d actually win the semi-finals?

White had a few silkey runs at them....really impressed with his trickery once his confidence was up second half too.....great stuff

They were complaining about offside for the 2nd, because it hit Maguire who was on the ground. Watching it back though, pretty sure there are 2 swindon players at least level with him.
