Just a bit of fun. Which rules in any sport would you like to see? Nothing stupid, but rule changes that could actually be enacted. I'll start, obviously.

The player who gets fouled in the box and a penalty is given is the player who has to take it.

Football. The handball rule. If it touches your arm/hand, whether accidental or deliberate, and regardless of natural position etc., then it's a handball. Take all the subjectivity out of it.

Would you apply the same for fouls anywhere on the pitch, free kick to be taken by fouled player?

Something certainly needs to be done about the handball rule. All the tweaks in recent years to try to make it better have only made it worse

Hours of play in cricket. When you know the light is going to go earlier at the start and end of the season, why not start an hour earlier to give more chance of being able to play for a full day?

Also, stop all the players coming on and off the field with new pairs of gloves, etc. which slows the game down (perhaps put a limit on how many times per session the play can be stopped for that?

And finally, no changing the ball! If it has been hit out of shape then credit to the batting team for doing so!

All Darts players must be forced to down a pint after every leg win. Bring the sport back to its roots.

On no way Keysor - players would be constantly trying to kick the ball into the hands of defenders in the box to win cheap pens. It would be like diving but wayyyy worse.

I think the level of respect shown by rugby players to match officials is a positive thing and it would be good if that was replicated in football. To help foster it I think they should introduce some sort of Sin Bin type 'black card 'to deal with things like dissent and timewasting.

Get all up in the refs face after a decision - great now you can sit on the bench for 10mins. Could expand it to some other fouls that are slightly more than a yellow but not worthy of a red and the ban that would follow.

National teams (in all sports) should be coached/managed by a person or person from their nation.

Change the three minute rule to find your ball in golf. It’s okay for the pros but too harsh for us hackers.
