I see the kickoff time has been moved at the request of Thames Valley Police. What I'm genuinely asking, no wummery intended, is do they have the legal right to hold home supporters in while AFC leave before us like they did the last time?

IIRC (and I maybe don't RC) it was THEM who were 'kept in'. I don't recall having to wait. :? :?

At least it's a way to ensure the fans stay for the post match players' walk of appreciation.

We have been locked in before, and then released right in front of the exiting AFC fans, awful decision and another example of the naivety of this club.

We were definitely held back last time I went to a game between us and them. What made it worse was the lack of communication over what was going on and why

That's why I was asking. I remember being held on the stairs as they'd closed gate 5, and typical of this shit show of a club they didn't tell anyone it was closed. In retrospect it made sense to close that gate, but when they let us out just as AFC were walking towards Asda. I.E. straight into them.

A small minority of thick fans (on both sides) inconveniencing everyone else.

I suppose I would say this wouldn't I but on the occasions when I've encountered them before (up here - I've no intention of going there) it has been ALL ('mouth' from) them causing the unpleasantness. I've told the tale a couple of times as to how I thought, for the only time ever at a game of football, I was going to get attacked (bottled) by some drunken thug with a beer in his hand. I won't go through it all again but it wasn't pleasant.

AFC definitely seem to be worse in my experience even if our lot aren’t angels.
