Scientific studies have suggested that the reason food tastes better when someone else cooks it is because of the pheromones released into the food when it's handled and alot to do with hormones and the oils your body produces.

That's why you will often favour your parents cooking as a comfort thing and you will never enjoy your own cooking in the same way you would a loved one cooking for you.
