I hope it happens purely because of the amount of Swansea fans saying things along the lines of ‘he’s just said he loves it here this week, he won’t leave’

He said the exact same things about us 4 days before he left for the arse end of wales.

I'm fairly sure he didn't say that. He said at the time that he was 'planning to be here long term... but in football you never know'

I'm planning to go to Stevenage next Tuesday, but something may come up which mean I don't. That doesn't mean that I hadn't planned to go.

I admit it would be bloody funny if he left Swansea so soon and yes I was pissed off with the timing of his departure but I just don't get why people continue to misquote what he actually said.

Shouldn’t have used the term exactly in fairness but for a while beforehand he was saying how much he enjoyed it etc, basically what he’s saying now about Swansea.

I think even by his standards this is too soon to leave. He can't keep going to clubs saying its a 'long term project' and then leave before the project has even really got going.

You do realise when he refers to long term project he's talking about his career or so he hopes.

Considering chairmen say the same thing when hiring staff, then fire them shortly after, fuck it why not

We may end up being his longest managerial job in football at this rate!

Looking back, I'm more disappointed in losing Luke Williams (who the players spoke highly of more frequently than they did of Russ), and Dean Thornton who seem a decent personality and liked to interact with the fans.

I'm really intrigued as to what happens with him going forward. There is clearly a disconnect between the owners and the football side of things at the club. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised to see him walk away before the end of the calendar, and he has to be thankful that Barnsley are so bad and Derby have had so many points deducted otherwise maybe the owners would actually spend some money...

Fisher in goal tonight, Currently losing at home to Luton, sitting presently in a very uncomfortable 19th place

Swansea have delusions of grandeur, Martin must have had a senior moment taking the job, the parachute money dried up, can’t even raise enough dosh for a Big Mac, let alone our big Harry

A number of Swans fans starting to turn. 1 win in 9 in all competitions, dominated possession tonight but by the sounds of things they wouldn’t have scored even if they’d played until morning. I mean, we did try and warn their fans…
