Rishi Sunak visiting a brewery in Wales today during an informal chat with the workers asked if they were looking forward to watching the Euro’s ……someone then pointed out Wales had been knocked out in the qualifiers…….tumbleweed moment.

Gove eh'. Oh well, nevermind.

Not so much rats leaving a sinking ship, more a sinking ship made out of rats.

He's going back to his original job - as a ventriloquist's dummy.

Everyone who posts on this thread (apart from one person who thinks I read the Guardian) will know that, generally speaking, I am right of centre - what Maggie would have called a wet.

So, in principle, I would like to support the Conservative Party. However, they have been fruity dogshit over the last five years, both politically and ideologically.

And now they want to reintroduce national service. I have never seen anything so desperate as this pathetic effort to shore up support among older Tory voters.

Well, it's been the gift that just keeps on giving. National Service! You seriously have to wonder who's advising the Prime Minister. All joking aside, but it's been nothing short of one disaster after another since he stood in the pouring rain the other evening. A conspiracy theorist would have you believe that he's doing this on purpose as he quite simply doesn't want the job any longer.

What's it going to be next? Compulsory rotary dial phone in every front hall. The reintroduction of rickets. The head of the household complaining that they can't tell if it's a boy or a girl on Top Of The Pops. Spam fritters. Rationing.

The man's a fucking idiot.

And while we're at it. Is this the same Prime Minister who back in January rebuked the chief of the general staff Sir Patrick Sanders after he said something along the lines of we will need a citizens army to stand against Russia? That PM. The exact same PM who said, and here I quote... "There will be no return to national service".

They'd most probably take him.
