That just leaves: Spoil, Bumble, Fluff, Blow.
They all seem to be synonyms for messing something up.

New wall...

Disobey. Big. Sappy. Field.
Cut. Head. Swails. Soft.
Sweeper. Kind. Pity. Strone.
Shaft. Brie. Encrypt. Whole.

EDIT:

The answers were:

Mine... - Field, Head, Strone, Shaft (Sweeper red herring)
...Hearted - Big, Soft, Kind, Whole.
Add letter for short synonyms - Sappy, Cut, Pity, Brie (Snappy, Curt, Pithy, Brief)
Hidden words meaning crying - Disobey, Swails, Sweeper, Encrypt.

In an effort to restart this thread, here's one I've made which I suspect is a little easy:

Frog, Mme Bovary, Russell, Redgrave
Fonda, Oliver Twist, Balfour, Ghost
CeCe Peniston, Lizard, Huston, Baldwin
MacDonald, Sheen, Bee, Marian Keyes

I might have fallen into a trap or two, but I've got a few guesses so far...

There's hidden body parts in Mme Bovary, Oliver Twist, CeCe Peniston, Marian Keyes?

PM's - Russell, Balfour, Baldwin, MacDonald?

Acting dynasties - Redgrave, Fonda, Huston, Sheen?
(Baldwin red herring?)
