That first goal was a sickener - and it seemed to leave us totally out of sorts for over 30 minutes. But then it started to click. Wearne, who I have my doubts about, played a wonderful ball through to Gilbey, who should have done better in front of goal. KTS did well with his goal. White was excellent and he and KTS seemed to work well together. Tomlinson looked more like his old self. Nemane was good and his cross for Gilbey's goal was superb.
I'm sure some will be doubting the wisdom of signing Hogan but he created space for others and, as we continue to improve, he'll get a lot more service and hence goals. I think he's going to play a big part in the remainder of our season.
On reflection I would agree with all of that. I just wish that we could try flipping things over and play from the start with the same energy, urgency and attack as we do when we're usually behind in the second half. Try it that way round and then perhaps tighten up defensively in the second.
