With no obvious replacement, Sweeting also under pressure and the new board and owners barely in the door could this mean an extended run as caretaker manager for Dean Lewingtons? Is that preferable to keeping Mike on for longer? |

Let’s be honest, at current state it can’t get worse. A blind monkey would do better handling away games than MW, and maybe they wouldn’t be an emotionless fucking robot |

Sweeting has always said they have succession planning in mind. They will have several names that fit the bill ready to go. Remember when Alexander went, Williamson came in within days. |

I’d genuinely be much happier with Lewi in charge for the interim, things simply cannot get worse. He has to go today (thought I doubt he will). Like you say not many replacements available who we could tempt in (ie Scott Lindsey, completely unrealistic). Robbo on the other hand… shocking form at Salford, but right now, I’d be delighted to have him back where he belongs. |

A very singular way of playing, no alternative, and no charisma to dig a team out when they need it. |
