Made me laugh…….and didn’t we need to.
I was laughing the whole game.
I am really glad I went today - it was so bizarre I just dont think I'd have believed it otherwise.
The spectacle and noise as we kicked off.
The instant and abject failure of the players.
Watching Crawley completely embarass the team in every single department. Even our attempts to shithouse were weak.
The ironic chanting and mass exodus before half time.
A clueless, characterless manager just sat there as if he was warching Corrie.
The yoof gathering in the upper corner, taking off their shoes and shirts and just having fun with it.
The hilarious overkill at the end - bringing in the SAS in front of the Cowshed in full riot gear - while the front of the entire East Stand was guarded by three ball boys and one steward. Wankelman will have signed off on all of that.
Seeing aforementioned gathered yoof charging to the lower tier the moment they saw the plod deployed.
Watching Tucker and Harvie shy away to avoid the boos, only coming to the Cowshed once Dean or Gilbey were there, like the weak ladybits they are.
Witnessing seemingly normal, sane adults applaud the players despite everything they had just seen.
It was bizarre but you have to laugh.
