hi all i respect what you said about my post and i can see your side of things . i have had a chance to think about this this. why you may ask well i am 78 years old i have watched football all my life when i was younger coming from london i was a season ticket holder at queens park rangers for years getting down to london is not easy now and for the last 20 yrs i have had a season ticket at mk dons my point is if queens park rangers had moved here i would have been over the moon even if they were mk rangers they would still been part of my history if they had changed to mk city i would not have been happy so i have answered my own question. so i retracked what i said but i still think it might happen if the new owners go along with a name change.
The main thing I've realised whilst supporting this club is that despite what you might think, to this day we still think about the move and our history more than anyone else does, and I'd include AFC in that. Most people just don't care, even if they call us MK Franchise or whatever, that's about as far as it goes. Sure, a tiny minority wouldn't visit on principle, but in terms of away fans, thanks to our stadium capacity we often get some huge away followings at Stadium MK, at least we did in league 1.
The reason for our stagnation is our recent mismanagement off the field, crappy fan experience across the board, and our failure to keep a core squad together and build a cohesive team due to
consistently selling our best players season after season. We are a league 2 club and we were a skint league 2 club who had a big debt. What do you think is going to happen? We also had one of the worst squads we have had when we went down. Any good player will go and we will be stuck with chaff we can't get off the books. Hopefully, now the new owners are in we will be in a better position to say no or at least get what we feel we deserve.
